 TEAM

Executive Artistic Director

Chuck Ethridge
Chuck has been a performer since he was 4 years old. He performed in his first professional musical when he was 19 and has been hooked on Musical Theatre ever since. He studied vocal performance at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, and did graduate studies in voice at the University of Idaho. He has worked extensively as a performer, music director, conductor, and as a private voice teacher.

In North Idaho he has worked with nearly every performing arts organization in the region, including: Aspire Community Theatre (Music Director, Performer, Orchestra Manager, and Board Member), The Lake City Playhouse (Music Director, Performer), Chorale Coeur d'Alene (Performer, soloist, Board Member), Inland Northwest Opera (Performer), Christian Youth Theatre/Christian Community Theatre (Performer, Director, Music Director), Spokane Valley Summer Theatre (guest performer), as well as serving in past positions at the Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre (Performer, Music Director, Orchestra Manager, Associate Artistic Director). Chuck has been a paid vocal soloist and collaborator with many additional organizations regionally, nationally, and internationally, and frequently produces his own performances.

Outside of the performing arts, he has worked as a Realtor, office manager, and a business owner among other things. Chuck has lived in Coeur d'Alene since 1994, and loves the community of artists and the culture that North Idaho has to offer. The Coeur d'Alene Summer theatre is central to this community, and he is so proud to be part of it.

Executive Team

Director of Education Shoshana Rubli

Shoshana Rubli’s professional passion involves utilizing high-level performing arts instruction as a tool for personal growth and community-building.

Onstage from the age of 6 in the New York area, she studied Jazz / Tap / Ballet / Voice / Musical Theatre at Worth-Tyrell Studios (NJ), Acting / Voice / Classical Theatre the Lee Strasberg Institute (NYC), and (more!) Acting / Voice / Classical Theatre at the Stella Adler Conservatory (NYC), before receiving a full scholarship to CUNY Brooklyn College’s BFA Theatre Conservatory.

After two years of her BFA program in NYC, and deep contemplation about life, she followed her older brother to Jerusalem, where she studied Talmudic Law at an American all-women’s college. During the three years she spent studying ancient Hebrew legal texts, she met like-minded English-speaking performers who loved the Arts as much as their spiritual practices, and wanted to combine the two.

Shoshana began teaching, writing, directing, recording and performing in original musicals and religious adaptations for women only, within the parameters of Orthodox Judaism. International Credits include: Escalators- The Show (writer, original cast member, Israeli tour), For Your Inspiration (original EP of Hebrew and English music), The Secret Garden (Regal Productions, Jerusalem / European Tour), The King and I (Regal Productions, Jerusalem / European Tour), K’Shoshana with Rachel Factor (original cast, Jerusalem), 5 original cast recordings, and English voiceovers for the Israeli film industry.

After several years of teaching voice, acting, and tap (Sing From Your Heart Studios, Shoshie Broide School of Dance, Jerusalem Center for the Performing Arts), while performing and speaking in Israel and Europe for all-female audiences, Shoshana co-founded The Premiere School of the Arts in Jerusalem (2014), a religious, English-speaking performing arts school.

Her family’s ongoing spiritual journey eventually led her back to the United States. After living in Israel and later Switzerland, Shoshana is happy to be raising her children in Idaho, where she can help them with homework in her native language for the first time in her parenting career. Her childrens’ sudden interest in theatre led her back to the American stage alongside her daughter Naomi in 2023’s “The Sound of Music” (Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre), and they have been involved with theatre in North Idaho ever since. Her other interests include real estate, skiing, and chasing after two dogs and six chickens. Shoshana is grateful to be in a position, as Director of Education, to continue to share her passion for high-level performing arts instruction with this wonderful community.

Team Members

Production Manager Michael Chapman

At the age of 10, Mike saw his first theatrical production. Donny Osmond transfixed the audience in his emotional, and ultimately triumphant portrayal of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in Chicago’s Shubert Theatre. At the time, angry at his parents for forcing him to attend, a poutful Mike would never have guessed where he would find his passions as an adult. Now, over 25 years into his theatrical career, Chapman is thrilled to provide opportunities for children to unknowingly fall in love with the art of storytelling.

Mike holds a dual BFA in Stage Management and Lighting Design from Western Oregon University. Now based in Portland, Oregon, his career has taken him across the country from Las Vegas’ Strip to New York’s 42nd Street, from Timberlake Production to the Gershwin Entertainment Corporation. And for the last decade, sailing up America’s Riverways in nearly 200 productions. Mr. Chapman is honored to join Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre and this talented family of artists.

Through his time on stage, backstage, and in the booths of America’s theatres, supporting the works of Shephard, Shakespeare, and Albee. Lloyd Webber and Sondheim. The circus arts and the review spectacles, Mike remembers his teachers. In High School they took a chance on a shy lonely kid and brought him onstage, and backstage, giving Mike new opportunities to excel. Chapman took his new-found confidence and never stopped. Mike thanks his heroes in education who challenged him to do more, try harder, think longer, and go the distance. To those teachers and all educators, he offers his most profound gratitude.

Mike dedicates his work to his parents. Jim, who was taken far too soon, and Kathleen. Together they have cheered the successes, encouraged to try again, and stifled laughter when it was deserved.

Thank you for joining us at the theatre where our childhood wonder can take over. While in your seat, Mike invites you to lean forward and engage. Welcome to the magic!

Charis has been enjoying Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre  performances for years. She is the owner of Virtually Infinite Results where she enjoys helping busy business owners find the time to do more of what they love.

Growing up in Texas, Charis was lucky enough to have parents that encouraged her love of the arts. As a child, she attended countless plays, ballets, & symphonies. She believes those experiences made a huge impact on her as a person.

Charis lives in Spokane with her husband Jason & son Jagger. She loves spending time with her family, reading, baking, & sewing. Charis & Jason can’t wait for their son to be old enough to attend the theater with them in a couple of years and pass on their love of the arts.

Creative Operations Erin Wissing

When Erin isn't immersed in all things theatre, often creating numerous spreadsheets in the process, she can be found running lines with her actor son, watching her filmmaker daughter's short films, or listening to her husband passionately rant about the importance of mic placement in theatre productions.

Artistic Associate David Eldridge

David holds a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University, and has been performing professionally in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area since 2017.

He is currently on sabbatical from Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre while he is playing the role of Lucas Bleineke on the Addams Family National Tour.

Ashley is a wonderful, amazing person who wears several hats at Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre, including: Office and Fulfillment Coordinator, Producer's Club Liaison, Group Sales Liaison, and Sales Lead. She loves her job and the team at the theatre. When not at work, she enjoys acting, singing, cooking, and romping with her family.

Sarah graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in May 2017, with a BFA in Graphic Design. While there, she gained experience with a wide Variety of design techniques and media, including print, letterpress, package design, and UX/UI.

Most recently, she worked at Walt Disney Imagineering designing for internal Imagineering initiatives such as branding, presentations, communications, and print work. prior to that, she designed signage for the Fantasy Springs addition to Tokyo DisneySea park.

In her spare time she enjoys exploring outdoors with her husband, cooking, gardening, sewing and embroidery. Her goal as a graphic designer is to make the world a happier place through art. She believes there are so many opportunities to use design to make a difference even if it's just brightening someone's day.

She is now working as a freelance graphic designer. She is excited to be working with CST as she has always had a love for the theatre!
