Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre Triumphs with Record-Breaking Fundraiser, Raising $152,000 to Continue Sharing the Joy of Professional Musical Theatre

The Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre recently held its 4th annual fundraiser, "A Night of Musical Splendor," and it was nothing short of extraordinary.

Demonstrating the theatre's unwavering commitment to producing professional musical theatre and sharing joy throughout the community, this event exceeded all expectations, both in entertainment and fundraising success.

Held in the spirit of their mission, Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre transformed the evening into a dazzling Anastasia-themed spectacle that welcomed nearly 200 supporters. Guests were encouraged to don costumes, and the resulting array of vibrant attire complemented the enchanting atmosphere. The night reached a crescendo as the theatre surpassed its fundraising goal, amassing an impressive $152,000, bolstered by a surprise $50,000 donation from an anonymous benefactor.

Attendees delighted in a variety of activities, from engaging carnival games, an enticing prize table, live painting artist David Clemons, and more. The venue buzzed with excitement as the live band and top national talent performers took the stage, weaving their musical magic into the heart of every guest.

Special guest performer Melody Munitz from NYC (Elizabeth Bennet, Pride & Prejudice/Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre 2023) praised the event, exclaiming, “This is a fabulous event! I’ve been to so many in NYC, they need to do events like this one!”

The fundraiser's success was also supported by an incredible selection of live and silent auction items, offering everything from unique experiences to self-care packages. The featured live auction item, “The Sizzler,” was generously donated by The Hagadone Corporation, adding an extra layer of excitement to the evening's proceedings.

The event was orchestrated with finesse by hosts Rose Backs of Elite Auction Inc. and Chuck Ethridge, the Executive Artistic Director of the Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre. Their charisma and dedication, alongside the tireless efforts of Fundraiser Committee Chair Sandy Clemons and the technical expertise of Todd Ohse from DreamSound Audio, ensured that the event was both seamless and memorable.

Special thanks are due to the Spokane Teachers Credit Union, the event's sponsor, and to all staff members, sponsors, donors, volunteers, board of directors, and committee members who contributed to the evening's resounding success. Their collective efforts not only raised vital funds but also underscored the vibrant community spirit that fuels the Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre.

As Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre continues its journey of sharing the joy of professional musical theatre, "A Night of Musical Splendor" stands as a testament to the power of community, creativity, and collective generosity.
