Season 59 Will Be Filled with Magic, Humanity, and Epic Stories

Here at Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre, we are looking forward to our incredible Summer 2026 season, a lineup filled with shows that will be certain to inspire and entertain audiences of all ages. In 2026, we will present three very different stories visiting far away places, experiencing acts of real-life heroism, and the triumphs and tragedies of history.

❄️ Frozen the Musical – A Magical Journey of Love and Courage

Audiences will leave the sunny reality of June in Coeur d'Alene where the "bees'll buzz", where "snow does whatever it does in summer" to be transported right onto the snowy mountains of Arendelle where Elsa will cast an eternal winter in Disney’s Frozen the Broadway Musical. Featuring music by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, including iconic songs like “Let It Go” and “Do You Want to Build a Snowman." You can also expect to hear the songs written just for the stage production like, "Hygge" and "Dangerous to Dream".

Since its Broadway premiere in 2018, Frozen the Broadway Musical has received three Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical, Best Book of a Musical, and Best Original Score. Join us as we watch Anna’s courageous journey and Elsa’s struggle to embrace who she is. Along the way, you'll be sure that Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf will bring charm and humor to every scene. Families and fans of all ages will be drawn into a theatrical world filled with adventure, heart, and music they won’t forget.

✈️ Come From Away – A True Story of Human Kindness

The Tony Award-winning Come From Away will tell the remarkable true story of 7,000 airline passengers stranded in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, following the tragic events of September 11, 2001. This inspiring musical explores the extraordinary compassion and generosity of the town’s residents, who opened their homes, schools, and community centers to care for strangers during a time of uncertainty and fear.

Written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, Come From Away received seven Tony Award nominations and won for Best Direction of a Musical. Audiences were moved by the storytelling, which seamlessly balanced humor, heart, and hope. Every scene celebrates the resilience, kindness, and human connection that emerged in one of history’s most challenging moments. It will be a production leaving viewers feeling inspired and reminded of the power of community.

🚢 Titanic the Musical – Epic Stories on the High Seas

Our final show for the 2026 Season is Titanic the Musical.  We expect it to bring the grandeur and drama of the famous ship to the stage with elegance, depth, and emotional storytelling. This Tony Award-winning musical, with five Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book, weaves together the personal stories of passengers and crew aboard the RMS Titanic. The show follows all classes from the wealthy elites to hardworking immigrants chasing a better life, the show highlights courage, dreams, and the resilience of the human spirit.

Making its Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre debut and regional premier, the production will offer stunning sets and period costumes that recreate the Titanic’s iconic decks. Audiences will be fully immersed in the lives of those aboard, experiencing both the excitement of the ship’s voyage and the heartbreak of its historic fate.
