Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre, the Pacific Northwest’s premier professional musical theatre, is gearing up for its landmark 58th season with an exciting lineup of Broadway classics: Hello, Dolly!, Anastasia The Musical, and She Loves Me. With anticipation building, Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre is inviting performers from across the nation to audition for what promises to be an unforgettable summer of theatre.
Season Highlights:- Hello, Dolly! - Directed by the seasoned Roger Welch, who has deep roots with Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre, having served as artistic director for 20 years and bringing his extensive experience from directing and choreographing across the U.S. His return for Hello, Dolly! is a testament to his enduring legacy with the theatre, promising a production filled with joy and meticulous artistry.
- Anastasia The Musical - Under the direction of Antoinette DiPietropolo, known for her profound impact on the stage with productions like The Cher Show Tour, The Addams Family Tour, as well as "The Secret Garden" at Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre, where she balances classic storytelling with fresh innovation. Her work has been celebrated for its emotional depth and technical brilliance, ensuring Anastasia will be both visually stunning and deeply moving.
- She Loves Me - Gary John La Rosa, a director and choreographer with deep ties to "Fiddler on the Roof," brings his vast experience to She Loves Me (the same composers as Fiddler on the Roof). With a career that spans from performing in Broadway's "Fiddler" to directing numerous productions worldwide, La Rosa's approach is sure to highlight the musical's charm and complexity.
Audition Details:- Live Auditions: January 25th and 26th, in Coeur d’Alene by appointment
- Virtual Auditions: Submissions are now being accepted and will be considered until January 20th.
Last year, Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre saw an overwhelming response with over 700 auditions, and this year, with the allure of this seasoned director panel, we anticipate surpassing 1000 auditions.
